Notes:
Alt source and description below : https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/435123 released on 2008-04-14 CONTROLS Mouse click to climb (add thrust), release the mouse to free fall. THE GAME Simply reach the end of the tunnel / course. You die and restart the game if you crash into anything. If you run out of 'ring power' you won't be able to remain in the air, so try to collect 'rings' as you go. Fans of games such as 'fly copter' or 'Jetman' should appreciate this ... lol I hope. THINGS TO NOTE I plan to add sound and 'polish' this up quite a bit ... just wanted to throw this out there to see what people think / or if anyone has any handy tips on stuff I should add / change etc etc etc Also seems to run better on IE for some reason ... I also forgot to add a pre-loader ... but its a small file so ... Edit: Thanks for all the feed back guys, some good stuff has been pointed out to me, much appreciated. I shall continue to work on this so look out for the finished game in a week or so ... thanks again!
Original Description:
Okay first things first, the game. Simple one button game, guide Super Sonic through the tunnel avoiding contact with the walls / obstacles whilst picking up power rings, the main objective is to reach the end of the stage. Once your ring power hits zero you won't be able to fly ... no lives or continues, if you die you gotta' start again from the beginning. Controls: Mouse click to climb. Okay, other stuff ... thanks for all the feedback in my earlier entry, I've added sound, redesigned the level, made Sonic easier to control, added a title screen and pre-loader ... so its had a lil' overhaul. I wanna point out that this game is supposed to be hard, using the arrow keys to control Sonic removes any challenge thus, I have kept the one button / mouse click system in place. This was actually gonna' be the first level in the game (I was gonna have three tracks easy (this one) medium and hard). However, I have decided to scrap the Sonic game, (at least for the moment anyway) the feedback from you guys and others (plus seeing a few other games) have inspired me to take this in a slightly different direction. I'm gonna' do something similar but using an original character and some game play changes that wouldn't really sit too well in a 'Sonic universe'. Anyway ... hope you enjoy what I did manage to finish, again all feedback is greatly appreciated.
