Original Description:
I'm sure you all know about the imaginary operating system that lives within my brain. Well OS5 (the 5th generation of my operating system) was the latest version of my operating system. It was officially discontinued new years day, but....blah blah.
This is what the boot screen looked like.
OS5 was a general failure. It brought many new functional additions but would also slow me down and those additions were constantly being updated disabled, reenabled, tweaked, and I'd just lose track of wtf is going on. I don't allow the version number to exceed 10, and it reached version 6 within one month of being launched. So I had to utilize a 3 decimal number system so instead of going to version 7, we could go to version 6.0.1 and so on.
OS5 brought many great things like:
*HEALTHCOMMANDER: Never really worked. Was supposed to enforce physical activity and better health habits.
*inCar AR: Augmented reality that allowed for better focusing while driving and allowed for focusing on other cars around me, as well as predicting their movements.
*Screens: This OS was the first to feature screens. Instead of just saying "Sleep mode", An actual screen, kind of like a curtain would be displayed. For example, instead of showing all the boot info, it just displays "BOOT SCREEN."
*Ability to Rollback installations: Previously, uninstalling updates and going back a version was not possible. So say if your on version 2, and it sucks, you cannot rollback to version 1, you have to wait for version 3, which would either be a fix, or a replica of version 1. Stupid. OS5 fixed that.
*HEALTHCOMMANDER Protocols: With my severe acid reflux that has tricked me into thinking I was having a heart attack, I needed to learn how to deal with acid reflux when I feel the pain coming on. HEALTHCOMMANDER was allowed to learn and store protocols, or steps to take, on how to calm myself down and disperse the pain. This also works with illnesses or pain.
*Clic: In version 5 of OS5 an AI named "Clic" was introduced. Clic has his own personality and communicates with the subject (me) about various topics, and has full administration over the operating system, at the discretion of the subject.
*Cooling Modes: I get angry, and stressed............. a lot. So naturally, my core gets hot when it's under stress and I used to overheat like a 1998 Subaru Outback with a bad head gasket. (SubaruFurs SubaruFurs #SubaruInsideJokes #YouHadToOwnOneToGetIt) So OS5 introduced cooling modes to keep my core temperature cool. The first and low level mode is "FAN" which activates more or less when I am moving around a lot and focusing on several tasks. "A/C" is when some stress gets added into the mix and several tasks turn into everything at once. "A/C + H20" is when I become very angry and stressed. "LN2 (Liquid Nitrogen)" is used as a last resort and is when I become enraged and the word stressed isn't enough to describe how I feel.
