In this movie, you’ll learn about the life of the sixteenth president of the United States. When Lincoln became president, states disagreed over many subjects, including slavery. Some states in the South wanted to separate from the country. Lincoln led the people through the Civil War, and kept the Union and the Confederate states together. In his Emancipation Proclamation, he freed the slaves in Confederate states. After the end of the war, Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. Learn about this important leader and how we keep his memory alive today.
