Original Description:
This model is of the Maison Caree ,situated in the town of Nimes in an area called Provence, in France . It was built some time between 20 and 16 BC by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, dedicated to Gaius Julius Caesar Vipsanianus and Lucius Caesar, sons of Emperor Augustus.
Nimes was a Celtic or Gaulish city, known as Nemausus at this time.
A fine example of Roman Classical architecture.
