Original Description:
This is a demonstration program. The content is spurious and many of the links lead nowhere at present. However, it demonstrates the potential of web-based teaching materials.
Your browser need a Shockwave player / plug-in to view the resource. If you do not have one, you can get one from the following link.
Shockwave
Wait for the programme to load in the space below. Then explore all the features you can (especially Research section) with roll-over and clicks. Then you can look at the notes below.
Features include:
Launch of continuous music loop on opening
Navigation buttons ( with pop-up text on roll-over : reverse image and audible click on clicking).
Publications button: leads to simple navigation button.
Staff button: leads to simple image. No way to move on / back from this page. Illustrates advantage of always having main navigation bar available for navigation to main sections.
Research button. leads to images with pop-up text. Clicking on different images leads down different routes and more detailed information (spurious at present) on food ingredients.
Follow Research - Rollover breakfast - Click for more info - rollover breakfast ingredients - click for more info on orange - leads to more detailed info and possibility of speech commentary (content presently irrelevant)
Follow Research - Rollover Morning snack and then click - leads to interactive food choice section. Drag foods to plate. On clicking "done" you get analysis of food on plate. This can be altered ( putting more food on plate, or taking some off). Use in food choice / food education contexts?
Feedback on potential for development welcomed. Contact Joe Murray
