Original Description:
Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) are
used to divert or neutralise enemy missile and guns
that rely on electronic targeting.
All naval ships require some form
of anti-missile defence if they were to survive in combat.
The Chaff decoy system is among the most effective.
This system uses reflective filaments
which form a dispersed cloud in the air, to simulate the
presence of a ship, hence fooling the missile.
