Original Description:
This is my fifth My Little Pony animation commission. This was requested by [:icondigital--quill:](https://digital--quill.deviantart.com/) thetriforcebearer. Raindew is an Original Character created by thetriforcebearer.
So like my commission for Squeno (Starling), Raindew is a poor flyer with a melancholy disposition and she's sad that she can't find her pet hummingbird Ruby but Ruby appears at the end to brighten up her day!
This character alone had about 40+ Layers of symbols in [Flash](#), not all at once, but it's still a staggering [amount](#). Most of it was the hair, and you know what? The hair was actually the funnest thing to animate during this commission. I had a lot of fun tweaking each part of the hair and tail. There were over 19 different hair symbols made, head and tail included. Another part of the animation that turned out better than expected is the physics of motion, all the subtle little movements in her character that I'm quite pleased with.
Plus, I love the broad range of colors in this commission!
...And I'm quite aware that some of the animation is slightly choppy, don't kill me, symbol animation can be difficult sometimes.
