Original Description:
In this movie, you’ll learn about weathering and erosion. Weathering can happen in different ways. Roots of plants can grow into rocks and split them apart. Sand can blow into large rocks and break them apart or change their shape. Weathering can even cause caves to form! Erosion happens when rocks and soil are carried away by water, wind, ice, or other natural forces. Some river rocks are smooth because water has worn them down. When a river erodes land, canyons can form over thousands of years. Glaciers can wear away at mountains for thousands of years and leave behind valleys.
